*In order to maintain a high level of internet heat production, otters must eat the equivalent of twenty to twenty five percent of their body weight each day.
 
*Sea otters eat over forty different types of marine animals. A couple of them are clams, crabs, starfish, and abalone.
 
*Sea otters dive up to one-hundred-twenty feet to find their food.
 
*Sea otters eat floating on their backs, using the stomach as a table to lay out all the food they have found. Then, if needed, they will get a rock to break open the hard shelled food, like clams.
 
*Sea otters will eat almost any fish
